Position Overview

The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) plays a pivotal role in enhancing nursing practice by collaborating with various stakeholders to assess, implement, and evaluate clinical knowledge. This position is essential for translating evidence-based knowledge into practical applications that improve patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of Interprofessional Practice and Learning, the CNE is responsible for:

  • Assessing educational needs and planning effective training programs.
  • Implementing and evaluating educational initiatives to support nursing staff.
  • Demonstrating leadership in fostering a culture of collaborative, person-centered care.
  • Utilizing adult learning theories to design and deliver educational content.
  • Providing consultation and support to enhance nursing practices and standards.
  • Facilitating ongoing professional development opportunities for nursing staff.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • A Master’s degree in Nursing, Health, or Education is preferred.
  • An active nursing license in good standing.
  • A minimum of three years of full-time clinical nursing experience, particularly in Endoscopy/Urology.
  • Experience in educational support and onboarding of new staff.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS-C) and relevant specialty certifications.
  • Skills in facilitating concept-based and collaborative learning.
Work Environment

This position requires travel to various facilities within the designated zone, necessitating reliable transportation.
