Role Overview: As a Senior Enterprise Architect, you will leverage your expertise to navigate business, process, information, application, and technology transformations, guiding decision-making towards achieving desired business outcomes. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with business and IT leaders, as well as domain architects, to enhance and oversee the enterprise architecture practice, standards, and processes.
  • Leading initiatives related to enterprise modeling to establish processes, rules, and a meta-model for content creation and its adoption within the City.
  • Partnering with IT leaders and business experts to comprehend business strategies and priorities, translating them into strategic requirements, and supporting the development of value-driven roadmaps and business cases aligned with IT and enterprise architecture principles.
  • Facilitating senior-level business technology committees to define and govern the strategic direction of technology by conducting high-level architecture reviews, presenting findings, and fostering a shared understanding of challenges.
  • Conducting research on emerging business technology trends to support the organizational vision and presenting insights to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of business architecture, application architecture, and information architecture is essential.
  • Practical experience with enterprise architecture modeling tools and concepts is preferred.
  • Familiarity with at least one architecture framework (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, Gartner) is advantageous.
  • Understanding of key architectural concepts and practices, along with at least 5 years of solution architecture experience, is beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience in architecting enterprise-wide application environments and conducting complex analyses will be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, leadership capabilities, and strong influencing skills are essential for positively impacting enterprise architecture.
  • Exceptional teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with strategic thinking in a technical context, are required.
