Role Overview

As a Senior Enterprise Architect, you will utilize established principles and practices to navigate business, process, information, application, and technology transformations, guiding decision-making towards achieving future objectives and desired business results. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with various business and IT leaders, as well as domain architects, to enhance and manage the enterprise architecture practice, standards, and processes.
  • Leading initiatives related to enterprise modeling to establish processes, guidelines, and a meta-model for content creation, promotion, and adoption within the City.
  • Engaging with IT leaders and business subject matter experts to comprehend business strategies and priorities, translating these into strategic business requirements, and aiding in the development of value-driven roadmaps and business cases aligned with IT and enterprise architecture principles.
  • Facilitating senior-level business technology committees to establish and govern the strategic direction of technology by conducting high-level architecture reviews, presenting findings and recommendations, and fostering a shared understanding of challenges.
  • Conducting research and analysis on emerging business technology trends to support the business vision and presenting findings to senior management in both business and IT.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT sector.
  • Advanced knowledge of business architecture, application architecture, and information architecture is essential.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture modeling tools and concepts is preferred.
  • Familiarity with at least one architecture framework (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, Gartner) is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of key architectural concepts and practices, along with at least 5 years of solution architecture experience, is advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience in architecting enterprise-wide application environments, conducting complex analyses, and providing consulting services is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, proven leadership capabilities, and superior influencing skills to positively impact enterprise architecture and drive consensus towards a unified architectural vision.
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to think strategically in a technical environment.

Compensation: Level F $94,228 per annum

Days of Work: This position operates on a 5-day work week with a day off in a 3-week cycle.
