Position Overview:

The Government of Manitoba is seeking a dedicated Assistant Facility Manager to contribute to the effective management of facilities, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for all operations.

Employment Type: Regular/full-time
Department: Consumer Protection and Government Services
Location: Winnipeg, MB

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing the maintenance and operations of the facility.
  • Manage and coordinate repair tasks for HVAC systems, plumbing, and life safety systems.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and contractors.
  • Participate in budget management and capital asset oversight.
  • Support human resource management within the facility.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in facility management, including HVAC and safety systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of safety practices and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Desired:

  • Experience with maintenance management software.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with budget administration and inventory management.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
  • Must possess a valid Class 5F Driver's License.
  • Must be physically capable of performing job duties.
