EnviroEmplois is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Government Relations Director to lead our strategic initiatives in Quebec and Eastern Canada.

This role will be instrumental in shaping our organization's success by fostering strong relationships with provincial governments, regulatory agencies, and key stakeholders.

  • Program Advancement & Management: Develop and execute comprehensive program advancement strategies aligned with provincial government priorities and regulations. Provide crucial support to the existing program director in Quebec and Eastern Canada, ensuring seamless operations and impactful outcomes.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory matters in Quebec and Eastern Canada. This includes actively engaging with government agencies, addressing regulatory concerns, and advocating effectively on behalf of EnviroEmplois to ensure compliance and favorable policy environments.
  • Legislative Monitoring & Compliance: Stay abreast of legislative changes and amendments relevant to our operations. Implement robust strategies to ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including advisory councils, industry partners, and community organizations. Facilitate effective communication channels and collaborative initiatives to advance shared goals.
  • Revenue Generation & Project Management: Contribute to revenue-generating initiatives for the program in Quebec and Eastern Canada. Oversee special projects as assigned, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.
  • Fluency in both French and English is essential.
  • 5-7 years of proven experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
