We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee Relations Director to join our team at Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services, ULC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the employee experience and drive business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Detection and Mitigation: Utilize expertise in employee and labor relations to identify trends and challenges, mitigate risks, and develop solution-focused strategies and programs to drive business growth and minimize disruptions.
  • Crisis Management: Respond to crisis-oriented partner issues with excellent judgment and leadership, ensuring timely and effective resolution to maintain a positive reputation and minimize business impact.
  • Project Management: Design and lead large-scale projects that enhance frontline partner experience, driving business outcomes and improving operational efficiency.
  • Analyze and Interpret Data: Use data to develop persuasive narratives and recommendations, informing business decisions and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Deliver Innovative Solutions: Generate creative mechanisms for large-scale solutions, driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.
  • Communicate Effectively: Produce high-quality written communications and move solutions from concept to execution, ensuring clear and concise messaging to stakeholders.
  • Lead Through Others: Build relationships with stakeholders to influence change and deliver results, driving business outcomes and improving operational efficiency.
  • Problem Solve: Work independently to overcome obstacles and find solutions, driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.
  • Work at Scale: Design solutions for entire networks, driving business outcomes and improving operational efficiency.
  • Hire & Develop the Best: Lead the growth of the employee relations team, developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in employee relations, labor relations, labor/employment law
  • Demonstrated experience producing executive level written materials and presenting before executive audiences
  • Experience supporting large hourly workforces highly desired
  • Skilled in MS Excel, Word, SharePoint & PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree, JD, or specialized training in labor/employee relations
  • Experience in warehousing, distribution, or logistics
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in managing priorities
