TOTEM Recruteur de talent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Communications Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing internal and external communications strategies to effectively convey our mission and values.
Main Responsibilities- Participate in the management of regional issues, reporting, analysis, planning, and coordination of resource development needs;
- Provide support to senior management and managers to meet their communication needs;
- Identify priorities and the nature of information to be disseminated according to the needs of internal and external audiences;
- Participate in the creation of multi-disciplinary teams whose aim will be to create relevant services based on customer needs;
- Work with the Director, coordinating the activities of the communications team and the quality of services provided to internal and external partners;
- Contribute to the development of communications campaigns for all the organization's services;
- Provide expertise in the planning and coordination of official events;
- Find strategies to promote the organization's mission and values.
- Interest in and knowledge of Aboriginal culture;
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or other relevant training;
- Minimum 7 years' professional experience in communications, public relations, or a related field, including 5 years in a management role;
- Experience in a public or political organization a definite asset;
- Excellent written and spoken English (target audience mainly English-speaking) and good knowledge of French;
- Excellent knowledge of the Office Suite and social media;
- Excellent writing skills.
- Excellent leadership and collaborative skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Sense of analysis and synthesis;
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
