Mental Health Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to lead the Western Zone Recovery Support Centre for the South Shore of Western Zone. The successful candidate will be responsible for all administrative, day-to-day, and clinical operations of the centre, ensuring service provision is in accordance with Nova Scotia Health's policies and procedures and compliant with evidence-based practice, provincial standards, and accreditation requirements.
The Manager will work closely with the Zone Director, Chief of Psychiatry, MHA Managers, relevant staff, physician, and academic leaders to provide strategic and operational leadership that supports excellence in service delivery, integration of MHA service provision, and collaboration with other program areas.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a Master's degree in a recognized mental health and/or addiction health discipline or related field, with five years of experience in a mental health and addictions system. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a recognized mental health and addiction discipline with five years of experience in mental health or addictions, one of which should be in professional practice/leadership capacity and two additional years of experience in clinical practice for a total of seven years of experience.
The ideal candidate will have formal leadership experience in the healthcare field, mental health and addictions preferred, and possess excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills. They will also have demonstrated commitment to employee and self-development and continuous quality improvement.
Hours and CompensationThis is a permanent full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate will be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
