About the Opportunity

As a key member of the Mental Health & Addictions Program, the Occupational Therapist collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive mental health and addiction services. You will work within established frameworks and organizational values, exercising professional judgment and initiative.

About You

We are seeking a dedicated individual with the following qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited University Program in Occupational Therapy
  • Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Occupational Therapy Association
  • Registration to practice Occupational Therapy
  • Minimum three years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in an Addiction & Mental Health setting
  • Proven ability to build partnerships with other agencies and community stakeholders
  • Experience working within a community-based environment
  • Understanding of population health approaches
  • Familiarity with assessment tools for Child & Adolescent clients
  • Competence in providing Addiction & Mental Health/Occupational Therapy assessments
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development
  • Dedication to fostering a culture of respect, ethical practices, and organizational well-being
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and initiative
  • Physical and mental capabilities to fulfill the duties of the position
  • Consistent attendance record in previous employment
  • Valid Driver's License

Hours

  • Temporary Full Time position; 75 Hours Bi Weekly
