We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Support Specialist to join our team at School District #62 (Sooke). As an Education Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs in a variety of classrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with autism, behavior support, and learning assistance needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist students with daily living skills, social skills, and emotional regulation.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive support system.

Requirements:

  • Ability to take direction from teachers and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Thirty hours per week.
