Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join our team at Company 1 - The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure that our business operations are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance Guidance: Provide expert guidance on regulatory compliance matters to our business teams, ensuring that they understand and adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential compliance risks, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure the integrity of our business operations.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with our business teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Training and Education: Provide training and education to our business teams on compliance matters, ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their roles in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with our business teams, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure that our compliance programs are effective and meet the needs of our business.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as law, business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a compliance role, with a strong background in regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex compliance issues to non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including anti-money laundering, know-your-customer, and data protection regulations.
