Job Summary:

The Interim Assistant to the Dean provides high-level administrative support to the Dean and senior leaders within the Office of the Dean at York University. This role is responsible for coordinating the workflow of administrative staff, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide confidential and professional executive-level support to the Dean and senior leaders
  • Coordinate and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and achieve office goals
  • Oversee and manage the workflow of administrative staff
  • Develop and implement administrative processes to improve office efficiency
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve office objectives

Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, including Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
