Position Overview:

This role is a temporary part-time administrative position within the Human Resources department, focusing on Compensation & Benefits. The successful candidate will work 24 hours per week at a competitive hourly rate. This position is designed to support the HR team in various administrative functions while ensuring excellent service delivery to all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:


• Provide exceptional customer service to College leaders, employees, and students regarding HR services.

• Manage confidential inquiries and determine appropriate escalation procedures.

• Oversee general office operations and ensure smooth administrative processes.

• Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires, ensuring all documentation is received and processed efficiently.

• Maintain and update HRIS records, ensuring accuracy in employee information.

• Act as the first point of contact for the HR department, handling inquiries with professionalism and discretion.

• Welcome visitors and direct them to the appropriate HR personnel as needed.

• Manage office supplies inventory and coordinate orders when necessary.

• Handle incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring timely distribution.

• Organize and maintain personnel files, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.

• Assist in scheduling and organizing meetings, including logistics and documentation.

• Process invoices and manage tuition subsidy reimbursements.

• Support the management team with various administrative tasks, including vacation and sick leave tracking.

• Participate in team initiatives and events, contributing to a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:


• A minimum of a 2-year post-secondary diploma in Human Resources or a related field.

• Progress towards CHRP/CHRL certification is considered an asset.

• At least three years of experience in HR administration, with a focus on HRIS systems, benefits, and onboarding processes.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experienced with HRIS software.

• Knowledge of employment legislation and collective agreements.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
