Position Overview:
Client Relationship Executives will drive positive sales growth within a designated region or market segment, managing an average of 40-45 existing accounts with an annual revenue of approximately $2M. You will utilize Grainger's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Salesforce, to manage all business activities daily, reporting directly to the District Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities (You Will):
- Comprehend customer objectives and remain vigilant and responsive to evolving customer requirements.
- Exhibit knowledge of market analytics and leverage resources to swiftly address new developments in the customer's operations.
- Supervise managed inventory tasks to enhance understanding of customers, increase connections within the customer base, and boost sales performance.
- Grasp Grainger's Value Proposition by offering solutions that foster profitable sales growth.
- Formulate account penetration strategies, including regular business assessments for key customers.
Qualifications (You Have):
- Minimum of 2 years of direct external sales experience (or equivalent internal sales or marketing experience).
- Experience in sales forecasting, opportunity management, and customer planning.
- Willingness to travel to each customer within the aligned market at least once per month, or more frequently as necessary.
- Process-oriented mindset, capable of aligning planning objectives with a pipeline development strategy to enhance market revenue.
- Ability to apply the sales process to identify customer objections/concerns and determine suitable solutions.
- High School diploma or GED (Post-secondary education preferred).
This role may necessitate visits to customer sites and adherence to safety protocols in compliance with applicable health and safety regulations, particularly regarding personal protective equipment (PPE) on certain customer locations. This may include: hard hats; steel-toed safety boots; and a clean-shaven or trimmed moustache/beard to ensure the fit of an N95 mask or other required PPE. Details of these requirements will be provided during the recruitment process.
Some customers may enforce alcohol and drug screening policies for on-site contractors and vendors. You may be required to comply with such customer screening procedures as a condition of access to these sites.
