Job Summary

The North Transportation is seeking a highly skilled Freight Traffic Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our freight traffic department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods from origin to destination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Daily Operations: Assess the performance of our freight traffic operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor Department Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of our freight traffic operations.
  • Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement plans to optimize the movement of goods and minimize delays.
  • Plan for Changes to Schedules and Policies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement changes to schedules and policies that impact freight traffic operations.
  • Arrange for Shipping Documentation and Tracking: Ensure that all necessary documentation and tracking information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Establish and Implement Policies and Standards: Develop and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
  • Oversee Scheduling and Dispatching: Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods to ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee Transportation Service Rates and Revenue: Monitor and optimize transportation service rates to maximize revenue.
  • Record Cargo Information: Accurately record cargo information, including hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Plan, Organize, Direct, Control, and Evaluate Daily Operations: Provide leadership and direction to ensure the successful execution of daily operations.Security and Safety
    • Bondable: Must be bondable.
    • Work Term: Permanent position.
    • Work Language: English.
    • Hours: 30 hours per week.
