Freight Traffic Operations Manager

The North Transportation is seeking a highly skilled Freight Traffic Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our transportation department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods from origin to destination.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate Daily Operations: Assess the performance of our transportation department and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor Department Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of our transportation operations.
- Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement strategies to optimize our transportation processes and improve efficiency.
- Plan for Changes to Schedules and Policies: Analyze and adapt to changes in the transportation market and make recommendations for updates to our schedules and policies.
- Arrange for Shipping Documentation and Tracking: Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and that shipments are properly tracked and traced.
- Establish and Implement Policies and Standards: Develop and enforce policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
- Oversee Scheduling and Dispatching: Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Oversee Transportation Service Rates and Revenue: Monitor and adjust transportation service rates to ensure revenue goals are met.
- Record Cargo Information and Performance Metrics: Track and record key performance metrics, including cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Bondable: Must be willing to undergo a background check and be bondable.
- Work Term: Permanent position.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 30 hours per week.
