About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Operations Manager to join our team at Brooks Grocery. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our store, ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Manage and supervise a team of 5-10 employees, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analyze trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the impact of competitors' operations on sales.
  • Merchandise and Services: Determine the merchandise and services to be sold, ensuring that they meet the needs and preferences of our customers.
  • Price and Credit Policies: Implement and manage price and credit policies, ensuring that they are fair and competitive.
  • Procurement and Inventory Management: Locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale, ensuring that inventory levels are adequate to meet customer demand.
  • Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our products and services, increasing sales and customer loyalty.
  • Financial Management: Plan and manage budgets, monitoring revenues and expenses to ensure that the store is operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Determine staffing requirements, ensuring that the store is adequately staffed to meet customer demand.
  • Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints and issues, ensuring that our customers receive a high level of service and satisfaction.
  • Operational Planning: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, ensuring that the store is running smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, working under pressure, with tight deadlines, and handling heavy loads.
  • Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
