About the Role

You'll be joining Kumaran Systems' Application Engineering team, a dynamic group at the heart of our digital transformation. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in AI, successfully delivering enterprise-scale projects involving multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead the development, technical planning, and integration of AI & Generative AI systems engineering development.
  • Application Development: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Python-based applications and software solutions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design architectures, and implement scalable and efficient solutions using Azure cloud services.
  • API Development: Create and maintain APIs and web services using Python frameworks.
  • Data Storage: Implement and manage data storage solutions on Azure, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.

Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of coding standards, OOP principles, and design patterns. Experience in building and deploying applications on OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), Kubernetes, and Azure. Very experienced with LLMs, their associated APIs, and development of AI-based systems. Experience with prompt engineering and common principles to manage and use prompts effectively. Hands-on experience with AI frameworks like Keras, PyTorch, TensorFlow. Experience developing NLP and Data Science related assets in Python.
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Education and Certifications: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, or related field. It is an asset if you have certifications in AI, Machine Learning, or Cloud Computing.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage stakeholders up and down as well as executive level as required. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
