About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Application Engineering team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying Generative AI-based systems using Python.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement technical infrastructure for AI-based applications.
- Development / Engineering: Develop and deploy Generative AI-based systems using Python, adhering to coding standards, best practices, and Object-Oriented Programming principles.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead the development team and run code-review sessions to ensure project goals are met. Mentor junior developers and contribute to Agile environment.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience in designing, programming, implementing, and supporting Python development tasks for Generative AI and AI development.
- Skills: Strong understanding of coding standards, OOP principles, and design patterns. Experience in building and deploying applications on OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), Kubernetes, and Azure.
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, Software Development or related field.
