- Plan and Execute Repairs: Develop and implement repair plans for routine and major repairs, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
- Monitor Vessel Performance: Track and analyze vessel performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimize operations.
- Conduct Vessel Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of vessels to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Manage Survey Cycles: Coordinate and monitor survey cycles to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and regulatory standards.
- Procurement and Budgeting: Manage the procurement of spare parts and stores, and prepare and monitor operating budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Invoice Review and Payment: Review and clear invoices and agents' DA for correct coding and payment to vendors.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate and analyze technical incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Certification: Chief Engineer's or Master's (F.G) Certificate of Competency
- Experience: Sailing experience on Bulk carriers
- Language Skills: Good English speaking, strong communication and leadership
- Qualification: Degree / Diploma holder in Naval Architecture
