Role SummaryThe Events Manager plays a pivotal role in the execution of high-profile gatherings at Confederation College, ensuring that each event aligns with the institution's strategic vision and enhances its reputation. This position involves the comprehensive planning, development, and oversight of events that showcase the College's brand and messaging.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary liaison for external stakeholders in the organization of campus events.
- Collaborate with various departments, including Senior Leadership, Marketing, IT, and Facilities, to ensure seamless event execution.
- Oversee all logistical aspects, including resource allocation, event tracking, and execution.
- Provide leadership and motivation to team members involved in event planning and management.
Education: A minimum of a 3-year diploma or degree in a relevant field.
Experience: At least seven years of experience in event management, communications, or public relations.
Essential Skills- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
- Proven leadership capabilities in event and project management.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and time management skills.
- Proficiency in media relations and event management tools.
- Competence in computer applications, including word processing and multimedia presentations.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is an asset.
