About this Job

The Event Coordinator Assistant will report to the Research and Innovation Events Coordinator and be responsible for supporting the coordination of department events. This is a part-time, 35 hours per week position ending March 31, 2025, with flexible hours including some overtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and implementing an in-person event platform for Research and Innovation Week, including scheduling events, services, and vendors, budgeting, and sponsor management.
  • Support the production of communication materials and provide administrative assistance for meeting scheduling and minute taking.
  • Update webpage content and monitor and post social media updates.
  • Support event session hosts and speakers.
Requirements
  • College or university education in administration, marketing, and/or event management.
  • Experience in planning and implementing large-scale events and administrative duties.
Working Conditions

Office environment.
