Role Summary

The Events Manager plays a pivotal role in the strategic vision of Confederation College by overseeing the planning, development, and execution of high-profile events that enhance the institution's reputation and align with its branding objectives. This position serves as the primary liaison for external stakeholders involved in event planning and execution on campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Senior Leadership, Marketing, IT, and Facilities, to ensure seamless event planning and management.
  • Oversee logistics, resource allocation, and execution of events, ensuring all aspects are meticulously planned and assessed.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to college staff involved in event execution, fostering a collaborative environment.
Qualifications

Education: A minimum of a 3-year diploma or degree in a relevant field.

Experience: At least seven years of experience in event management, communications, or public relations.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven leadership in event and project management.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and effective time management skills.
  • Proficiency in media relations and understanding of media tools and techniques.
  • Advanced computer skills, including word processing and multimedia presentation software.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is an asset.
