Position Overview

Salary Range: $86,327 - $107,909

Role Summary

The Events Manager plays a pivotal role in the execution of high-profile gatherings that enhance the reputation of Confederation College. This position is responsible for the comprehensive planning, development, and oversight of events that align with the institution's strategic objectives and branding initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with various departments including Marketing, Communications, IT, and Facilities to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including resource allocation, execution, and evaluation.
  • Act as the primary liaison for external parties involved in event planning and execution.
  • Provide leadership and direction to college staff contributing to event success.
Qualifications

Education: A minimum of a 3-year diploma or degree in a relevant field.

Experience: At least seven years of experience in event management, communications, or public relations.

Essential Skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Proven leadership in event and project management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in media relations and understanding of media tools.
  • Competence in computer applications including word processing and multimedia presentations.
