Food Service Aide

Join our team at Sushi On Kenmount Inc. as a Culinary Assistant. This is a permanent role where you will play a vital part in our kitchen operations.
Job Details- Work Term: Permanent

- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
- Experience: Training will be provided
This position is based in an urban setting, providing a dynamic and fast-paced work atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver clean dishes, utensils, and other items to dining areas and set tables accordingly.
- Utilize dishwashing equipment to ensure cleanliness of dishes, glassware, and utensils.
- Organize and store dishes in designated areas.
- Manually sanitize and wash dishes and other kitchen items.
- Scrub pots and pans to maintain hygiene standards.
- Portion and package food items for service.
- Employ manual and electrical tools to prepare food, including cleaning, peeling, slicing, and trimming.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- Handle and store cleaning supplies safely.
- Dispose of kitchen waste and refuse properly.
- Perform floor maintenance including sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing.
- Prepare vegetables and fruits by washing, peeling, and cutting.
Must be able to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
