Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at JY Shinwoo Construction Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with tile, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowels, guaranteeing a strong and durable bond.
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base, ensuring a level and even surface.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, minimizing waste and ensuring a seamless finish.
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, restoring the original appearance and functionality of the surface.
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs, requiring attention to detail and creativity.
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite, showcasing expertise in working with high-end materials.
  • Install tile strips, ensuring a secure and watertight seal.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, requiring physical stamina and attention to detail. The role involves working at various locations, including construction sites and warehouses.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in tile setting or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Dependability and reliability, with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines.
