Job Title: Tile Installer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team at Soni & Sons Construction. As a Tile Installer, you will be responsible for installing ceramic tiles in various locations, including walls, floors, and countertops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with tiles.
  • Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel.
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
  • Align and straighten tiles.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.

Work Environment:

  • Physically demanding.
  • Handling heavy loads.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Hand-eye coordination.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience.

Language: English

Work Term: Permanent

Hours: 32 hours per week
