Job Title: Tile Installer

We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team at Soni & Sons Construction. As a Tile Installer, you will be responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles in various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with tiles.
  • Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel.
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.
Work Environment:

As a Tile Installer, you will work in various locations, including construction sites, warehouses, and offices. You will be exposed to odours, dust, and noise.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the trade.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and hand-eye co-ordination.
  • Physically demanding work, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Team player with accurate, dependable, reliable, and hardworking qualities.
Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.

Work Schedule:

32 hours per week, permanent position.
