Kitchen Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Pure Kitchen Kanata. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and leading a team of food preparation staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient work schedules to meet the demands of our kitchen.
- Requisition Food and Supplies: Order and manage the inventory of food and kitchen supplies to ensure we have the necessary resources to meet our menu requirements.
- Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Lead and motivate a team of food preparation staff, providing guidance and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Train Staff in Sanitation and Safety Procedures: Ensure that all staff members are aware of and follow proper sanitation and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required: Plan and manage the ordering of ingredients and supplies to meet our menu requirements.
- Hire Food Service Staff: Recruit and hire qualified food service staff to join our team.
- Ensure Quality Control Standards: Monitor and maintain high standards of quality and safety in our kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
- Address Customer Complaints: Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform our menu planning and inventory management.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Setting: Restaurant.
- Tasks: Establish methods to meet work schedules, requisition food and kitchen supplies, supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, hire food service staff, ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, address customers' complaints or concerns, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage, prepare food order summaries for chef, and establish work schedules.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, combination of sitting, standing, walking, attention to detail.
- Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months, permanent position, 30 to 40 hours per week, English language.
