Optical Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Optical Expert to join our team at LensCrafters. As a key member of our optical team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing expert advice on eyewear and vision care.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome and engage with customers, setting clear expectations and providing personalized service.
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, ensuring accurate and precise results.
- Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing expert advice and guidance to customers and colleagues alike.
- Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
- Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Accurately and thoroughly use technology, despite time pressure and customer volume, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and use of appropriate tools.
- Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded, driving solutions and results.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities, striving for exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
- Take pride in store appearance, helping to keep the store clean, attractive, and organized, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Inform management of safety opportunities, demonstrating safe work practices and a commitment to employee well-being.
- Resourceful, self-motivated, with a desire for continual learning, improvement, and results, embracing new technology and change.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- State licensure.
- Optical dispensing experience.
- Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and team building.
- Knowledge of current store merchandise.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Awareness of current fashion trends.
- Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
- Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
- Embracing new technology and change.
- Previous customer service and retail experience.
