Seaspan is seeking a skilled Security Guard to join its Shipyards security team in North Vancouver. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the shipyard and its personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control access to the shipyard, ensuring that visitors are properly signed in and out.
  • Conduct regular security patrols to identify and address any security issues.
  • Provide access to secure areas and stores as needed.
  • Provide first aid services to shipyard personnel.
  • Be available for day, afternoon, graveyard, and weekend shifts.

Requirements:

  • Completion of Intermediate First Aid.
  • Valid security worker's license.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • 4+ years of security industry experience, preferably in a shipyard or marine environment.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Record check.
  • Ability to obtain NATO Clearance.
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with minimal supervision.
