Key Responsibilities:

The Business Development Manager is tasked with achieving revenue targets for the designated area (Kitchener and Waterloo). Revenue generation will stem from various sales and marketing activities, including identifying and pursuing new referral sources. This role involves regular reporting of progress to the Franchise Owner, discussing achievements and areas for improvement, and documenting advancements in sales, marketing, and networking efforts.

Primary Duties Include:
  • Researching and cultivating client relationships to generate referrals; managing all aspects of the sales process, including preparation and documentation of outreach efforts, follow-ups, assessment of referral sources and client needs, and recommending suitable ComForCare Home Health Care services with a focus on person-centered care.
  • Acquiring new clients to enhance overall market presence. Target accounts may include hospitals, physicians, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, independent living communities, senior centers, hospice, long-term care facilities, and retirement homes.
  • Collaborating with the leadership team to create strategic sales and marketing plans, outlining daily, weekly, and monthly activities aimed at meeting or surpassing established objectives.
  • Effectively presenting ComForCare Home Health Care marketing materials and services to referral providers through one-on-one meetings and organized group presentations.
  • Maintaining precise records of all sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up actions within the assigned territory, utilizing recommended software to optimize territory potential.
  • Participating in and contributing to the development of educational programs for clients, prospects, and colleagues.
  • Working alongside the ComForCare Corporate marketing team to design promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Managing marketing operations and assisting with office tasks as necessary (such as scheduling, billing, and payroll).
  • Researching governmental contracts, facility programs, and other payers to establish referral sources.
  • Collaborating with management to ensure a consistent message to customers and the community.
  • Incentives based on bonuses and commissions are available based on client acquisition.
Qualifications:
  • A genuine passion for serving and helping others achieve their best lives.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or relationship management, preferably within the home care or healthcare sector.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma/GED or Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC); a college diploma is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with the senior care market and healthcare system in Kitchener/Waterloo is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle are required, as the role involves frequent local travel (no overnight travel).
  • Job entails 75% travel within the Waterloo Region.
  • Demonstrated understanding of regulatory requirements and restrictions in home care services.
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Previous experience as a business relationship specialist or liaison is required.
