Key Responsibilities Overview

The Business Development Manager is tasked with achieving revenue targets for the designated region. Revenue generation will stem from various sales and marketing activities, including identifying and pursuing new referral sources. This role requires regular reporting of progress to the Franchise Owner, discussing successes and opportunities while documenting advancements in sales, marketing, and networking.

Key Activities (Highlights)

  • Research and cultivate client relationships to generate referrals; manage all aspects of the sales process, including cold calls, follow-ups, needs assessments, and recommending suitable ComForCare Home Care services with a focus on person-centered care.
  • Expand market share by acquiring new business accounts, targeting hospitals, physicians, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, senior centers, and more.
  • Work alongside the leadership team to create strategic sales and marketing plans, outlining daily, weekly, and monthly activities aimed at meeting or surpassing established objectives.
  • Present ComForCare Home Care marketing materials and services effectively to referral providers through one-on-one meetings and organized group presentations.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all sales and prospecting activities, including calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-ups within the assigned territory, utilizing recommended software for accurate record-keeping.
  • Contribute to the development of educational programs for clients, prospects, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the ComForCare Corporate marketing team to design promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Assist with marketing operations and office tasks as needed, such as scheduling and billing.
  • Investigate governmental contracts and facility programs to enhance referral sources.
  • Work closely with management to ensure a consistent message to clients and the community.
  • Bonus and commission incentives are available based on client acquisition.

Qualifications

  • A strong desire to serve and help others achieve their best lives.
  • At least 3 years of experience in business development or relationship management, preferably in the home care or healthcare sector.
  • High school diploma/GED or Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC); a college diploma is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with the senior care market and healthcare system is beneficial.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required for frequent travel.
  • Job entails 75% travel within the designated region.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in home care services is essential.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Prior experience as a business relationship specialist or liaison is necessary.
