Job Summary

Dentons is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join our Edmonton office. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our lawyers and contribute to the success of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality administrative support to lawyers, including drafting and editing correspondence, documents, and court filings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and matter records.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Paraprofessional team to ensure seamless support to lawyers and clients.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the team and achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • Legal Assistant diploma from an accredited college plus a minimum of five (5) years of previous legal assistant experience in related practice areas.
  • Civil and/or Commercial Litigation experience.
  • Superb accuracy, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with digital filing, document management, and dictation software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
