Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in:

Client Portfolio Management

  • Oversee a varied client portfolio, including major corporations.
  • Align and implement global strategies to meet both regional and international objectives.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives, Sales Administrators, Customer Success teams, Deal Desk, Marketing, and Geo Science Technical experts to foster a cohesive account management approach.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of Seequent's suite of solutions and services within a SaaS framework.
  • Understand the client's current technology landscape, growth ambitions, and competitive environment. Identify challenges faced by clients and propose tailored solutions. Comprehend the decision-making processes of our customers.
  • Build internal relationships and collaborate across departments to enhance insights, streamline processes, and secure necessary alignment.
  • Assist in the formulation of long-term Enterprise Agreements, coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Transition our commercial practices from basic account management to strategic partnerships.
  • Maintain comprehensive account plans within our CRM, capturing a holistic view of the accounts, including timelines, actionable steps, and targets.
  • Work closely with the Regional Director of Mining and Minerals to ensure sales activities contribute to the company's growth and profitability within your designated accounts.

Pipeline Development and Lead Generation

  • Manage a diverse sales pipeline encompassing both immediate and long-term opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
  • Provide regular sales forecasting and reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Leverage senior-level market insights to drive results for Seequent.
  • Ensure alignment of Account Plans with the entire go-to-market team, including Technical Services, Customer Success, Marketing, and Segment/Product management.

Organizational Development

  • Relay customer feedback to internal teams to support solution and process enhancement.
  • Advocate for internal process and system improvements to facilitate future growth.
  • Mentor and coach junior account managers, establishing best practices for the team.

Qualifications for Success

  • At least 10 years of experience in Account Management, particularly with SaaS Enterprise clients at an executive level.
  • A relevant university degree (preferably in business or earth sciences).
  • Proven experience managing complex sales cycles from initiation to closure, with a history of meeting or exceeding quotas.
  • Experience engaging with C-suite level clients.
  • A strong record of nurturing and developing client relationships beyond the initial sale.
  • Demonstrated ability to report to senior management and showcase success.
  • Capability to navigate ambiguity, take calculated risks, and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • An innovative mindset, with a willingness to adapt in a rapidly evolving landscape.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and provide guidance.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management software.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in client management within the Mining sector.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce Lightning.
