About the Role

Cascadia Metals is seeking a skilled Loader/Floater to join our team at our Delta branch. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient loading and unloading of materials, as well as maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading trucks with materials, including coils, sheets, and site supplies
  • Unloading trucks, rail cars, and containers
  • Operating a forklift to move materials within the warehouse and yard
  • Organizing and sorting materials for loading and space optimization
  • Scanning loads with an RF scanner
  • Verifying load accuracy by reading paperwork
  • Double-checking loads for accuracy
  • Poly wrapping trucks
  • Performing other duties as required
Requirements
  • 5 years of forklift experience
  • Valid Forklift license
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Good command of writing
  • Crane experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Steel handling experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Flexibility and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to read orders and complete basic paperwork
