About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at Peninsula Canada. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and process incoming invoices and credit notes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Enter invoices and credit notes into our accounting system, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Upload invoices and credit notes to our approval system for review and approval.
  • Maintain and update vendor records, including payment details and contact information.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of payments to vendors.
  • Ensure all supplier accounts are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Assist in the preparation and posting of credit card transactions.
  • Obtain and review supporting documentation for credit card transactions.
  • Update credit card reconciliation reports for month-end.
  • Process urgent and time-sensitive invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Follow up with internal approvers and managers on inquiries and rejections.
  • Assist in the setup and onboarding of new employees in our accounting system.
  • Provide invoices and supporting documentation to audit teams as required.
  • Provide monthly financial reports to the accounting team.
  • Process referral payments and other financial transactions as required.
  • Assist the accounting team with month-end and ad-hoc tasks.

Requirements

  • College diploma in accounting or business management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn and grow with the company.
