Key Responsibilities:

  • Migrate jobs from various batch scheduling tools to Redwood.
  • Schedule jobs and job chains with designated time windows and submit frames.
  • Design and schedule jobs according to client specifications.
  • Create submit frames and time windows in Redwood tailored to client needs.
  • Oversee and maintain Redwood housekeeping tasks.
  • Manage jobs in different statuses such as pending, cancelling, and terminating.
  • Compile weekly reports for held jobs, long-running jobs, and error jobs.
  • Execute jobs and chains upon ad-hoc requests.
  • Conduct iteration testing for jobs in development, quality assurance, and production environments.
  • Establish jobs, job chains, time windows, submit frames, events, locks, and alerts.
  • Manage alert mechanisms across the SAP Redwood landscape.
  • Perform regular system health checks.
  • Monitor process servers and queues.
  • Handle operator messages efficiently.
  • Conduct maintenance activities as required.
  • Address major incidents, lead incident management calls, and update client management.
  • Collaborate on various requests using incident management tools.
  • Resolve, update, and contribute to knowledge-based articles related to incidents.
  • Prepare knowledge documentation and publish relevant articles.
  • Maintain issue trackers and incident reports, providing weekly status updates.
  • Review the strategy for background (batch) job setups and evaluate the current landscape.
  • Schedule jobs in SAP Redwood, with knowledge of operating and exporting/importing jobs in Redwood.
  • Configure email services in Redwood CPS.
  • Possess development and implementation experience in SAP Redwood/CPS.
  • Establish dependencies between jobs effectively.
  • Configure process servers and queues to manage the entire Redwood system.
  • Generate reports using Redwood.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in UNIX shell scripting, including writing and debugging scripts.
  • Collaborate effectively within an agile team environment, applying relevant methodologies.
  • Analyze and comprehend complex customer scenarios, thriving in challenging situations.
  • Coordinate with various teams across the landscape to devise solutions and expedite priority issues.
  • Basic knowledge of Java and scripting is preferred.
