Key Responsibilities:
- Migrate jobs from various batch scheduling tools to Redwood.
- Schedule jobs and job chains, incorporating time windows and submit frames.
- Design and schedule jobs tailored to client specifications.
- Create submit frames and time windows in Redwood according to client needs.
- Oversee and maintain Redwood housekeeping operations.
- Manage jobs in different statuses, including pending, cancelling, and terminating.
- Compile weekly reports on held jobs, long-running jobs, and error jobs.
- Execute jobs and chains upon ad-hoc requests.
- Conduct iteration testing for jobs across development, quality assurance, and production environments.
- Establish jobs, job chains, time windows, submit frames, events, locks, and alerts.
- Manage alert mechanisms throughout the SAP Redwood landscape.
- Perform regular system health checks.
- Monitor process servers and queues.
- Address operator messages effectively.
- Carry out maintenance activities as required.
- Handle major incidents, lead MI calls, and keep client management updated.
- Respond to various requests using incident management tools.
- Resolve issues, update, and create knowledge-based articles related to incidents.
- Prepare knowledge documentation and publish relevant articles.
- Maintain an issue tracker and incident report, along with weekly status updates.
- Review the strategy for background (batch) job setups and evaluate the current landscape.
- Schedule jobs in SAP Redwood and understand the operating, exporting, and importing of jobs in Redwood.
- Configure email services in Redwood CPS.
- Possess development and implementation experience in SAP Redwood/CPS.
- Establish dependencies between jobs.
- Configure process servers and queues to manage the entire Redwood system.
- Generate reports through Redwood.
- Demonstrate proficiency in UNIX shell scripting and be capable of writing and debugging scripts.
- Collaborate effectively within an agile team environment, applying relevant methodologies.
- Analyze and comprehend complex customer scenarios, thriving on challenging tasks.
- Coordinate with various teams across the landscape to devise solutions and expedite priority issues.
- Basic knowledge of Java and scripting is preferred.
