Job Title: Field Service Technician

Siemens Canada Limited is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our Customer Service team within Digital Industries. As a Field Service Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and technical support for our customers in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area and Eastern Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service, maintain, commission, install, start-up, and provide technical support for low voltage drive applications (AC and DC).
  • Work under own initiative and collaborate with other team members to provide high-quality customer service.
  • Occasionally work outside normal business hours to meet customer needs.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and understand their needs to provide tailored solutions.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to add value to services provided and achieve first-time fixes to reduce breakdown times and costs.
  • Have a commercial awareness and identify new opportunities for sales, contracts, and retrofits.
Requirements:
  • DEC or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in fault finding, commissioning, and maintenance of AC & DC VFD (Low Voltage) drive applications within an industrial environment.
  • Commissioning and maintenance experience on Motion Control Drive range of products.
  • Experience with Siemens Drives equipment is considered an asset.
  • Basic programming and PLC knowledge, experience in fault finding.
  • Basic knowledge of Siemens TiA portal and Step 7 programming platform is considered an asset.
  • Relevant experience in a similar or appropriate role.
  • Strong computer skills using the entire Microsoft Office suite.
  • Very good knowledge of French, both written and spoken.
  • Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken, to interact with customers in Ontario and colleagues across Canada.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to travel within Canada occasionally.
