Job Title: Field Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team at TRUMPF. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, demonstrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting TRUMPF CNC machines, laser machines, and connected automation and storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain TRUMPF equipment with high quality and efficiency.
  • Demonstrate and train customers on the use and repair of TRUMPF machines in a complete and organized manner.
  • Travel up to 100% to regional, national, and international locations to provide technical support.
  • Complete basic retrofits, software installations, and customer training.
  • Troubleshoot and remedy complex issues with TRUMPF equipment.
  • Work independently to resolve technical problems and maintain good relationships with customers.
  • Use relevant electrical measuring tools efficiently for troubleshooting.
  • Submit required weekly TRUMPF reports in a complete and organized manner.
  • Assist other Field Engineers as directed.
  • Participate in training lasting approximately 6 months with ongoing training on existing and new products each year.
Requirements:
  • Two-years technical school degree in Engineering principles or a suitable combination of education and work experience.
  • 2 or more years of experience in technical service, field service, repair, or customer service.
  • Strong electrical and computer systems experience and high level of diagnostic skills.
  • Previous experience with robotics, lasers, automation systems, or mechatronics.
  • Previous experience with hand tools and measurement tools.
  • Must have strong problem-solving and excellent organization skills.
Travel Requirements:

Must be located or able to relocate within 45 minutes of a major international airport. 100% travel required, both internationally and domestically. Perform extensive travel as needed, including but not limited to Monday through Friday. Some weekend work as needed.
