About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at Sunset Resorts Canmore. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our resort's rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, and clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Housekeeping: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, and ensure that all rooms and public areas are clean and tidy.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster, support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition, and provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Support for Youths: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, and provide mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Staff accommodation available, hotel, motel, resort.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling.
