About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor-Estimator to join our team at Avanica Furniture & Decor. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our estimating processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Cost Management
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for various projects
    • Develop and maintain accurate cost databases and records
    • Conduct thorough analysis of project costs and identify areas for cost savings
  • Estimate Preparation and Submission
    • Prepare and submit high-quality estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
    • Collaborate with project managers and estimators to ensure accurate and timely estimate submissions
  • Project Monitoring and Control
    • Monitor and analyze project expenditures to ensure compliance with budgets and forecasts
    • Identify and report any discrepancies or variances to project managers and stakeholders
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with project managers, estimators, and other stakeholders
    • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in estimating or a related field
  • Skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in CADD and other computer software systems
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
