Job Title: Quantity Surveyor-Estimator

Avanica furniture & Decor is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor-Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, operating CADD and other computer software systems, and providing economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimating: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs, including master format estimates (Class A), and provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects.
  • Computer Software: Operate CADD and other computer software systems to support estimating and project management activities.
  • Project Management: Assist in the preparation of estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms, and provide support for project cost monitoring and reporting.
  • Communication: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in estimating or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
Work Environment:

Fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
