Join our team as a Technical Service Specialist

As a Technical Service Specialist, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of Multi-Functional Products (MFPs) while effectively addressing customer scanning and printing challenges, fostering strong relationships with clients and the sales team.

Compensation

Salary Range: $45,000 - $57,134.44

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include:

  • Performing maintenance and repairs on MFPs and troubleshooting customer printing issues.
  • Providing on-site service for MFPs.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and the sales department.
  • Managing parts and call records to meet key performance indicators.
  • Staying updated with new technologies.
  • Promoting products and generating referrals among existing customers (5%).
  • Delivering break-fix support and customer assistance (95%).
  • Understanding and managing the territory parts budget and inventory.
  • Adhering to the policies and procedures established by the company.
  • Carrying out other relevant tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications

What you need to succeed:

  • 0-2 years of experience in technical repair of electronic or software equipment.
  • Familiarity with basic Microsoft OS printing and common networking concepts.
  • Basic understanding of common solutions.
  • Certification in low to mid-range office systems.
  • Knowledge of basic color theory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with occasional assistance.
  • A positive, outgoing, self-motivated attitude with a commitment to building strong customer relationships.
  • Willingness to travel within the U.S. and Canada.
  • Must possess valid travel documents at personal expense.
  • Ownership of a vehicle with valid insurance and a clean driving record.
  • Availability for standby and after-hours work as needed.
  • Training may require travel and overnight stays, including weekends.
  • Completion of other relevant duties as assigned by management.
  • Achievement of Associate Level Certification is required.
  • Travel within the assigned territory and some out-of-territory work.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+, CompTIA CDIA+, Microsoft MCP or MCITP (or equivalent experience) are preferred.
