HACCP Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled HACCP Specialist to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of food safety and quality assurance principles.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our HACCP system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement HACCP plans and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures
- Provide training and support to employees on food safety and quality assurance principles
- Monitor and report on food safety and quality metrics
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry developments
- Bachelor of Science or Diploma in Food Safety/Science program or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of Sanitation, SOPs, Pre-requisite Programs, HACCP, CCPs, and GMPs
- HACCP I-II certificate
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- 2-3 years experience in the Food industry is preferred
- Computer proficiency with spreadsheet and database software
