As a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II), you will leverage your expertise to conduct maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on a variety of equipment in a safe and professional manner. Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair tasks on rental equipment and tools, focusing on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of work performed (work orders) on a daily basis.
  • Showcase a diverse range of complex equipment to customers.
  • Assist with the logistics of equipment and parts pick-up and delivery.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • 1-2 years of experience in vehicle and equipment repair/maintenance, or a graduate from a trade school.
  • Must possess tools relevant to the position.
  • Basic knowledge of schematics and diagrams.
  • Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 45 lbs.

This role is classified as Safety Sensitive according to United Rentals' policies and procedures.
