The Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care within a structured framework that aligns with the principles, policies, and standards set forth by the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), and applicable legislation.

Opportunities for Full-Time and Part-Time Roles

Qualifications:
- Mandatory Critical Care Certification
- Valid Registration Certificate from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current ACLS/BLS certification is essential
- Completion of Coronary Care Level 1 or equivalent is required
- CNCC(C) designation is preferred
- Postgraduate coursework in Cardiology, Respiratory Systems, and Physical Assessment is essential

Experience Requirements:
- Comprehensive understanding of nursing processes and professional responsibilities
- Recent and relevant nursing experience in Adult ICU/CCU is required
- Active membership in a relevant professional interest group, staying updated with industry developments
- Ability to function autonomously within the defined scope of practice

Please note that applicants must possess a minimum educational qualification of Grade 12 or equivalent and must demonstrate a proven track record of workplace excellence through strong job performance and attendance.

As a Regional Health Centre, our operations are conducted around the clock. Therefore, depending on the specific program, it may be necessary for candidates to be available for weekdays, weekends, and all shifts, including days, evenings, and nights.
