Job Summary:
The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor and manage patient's vital signs, medication, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
- Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current ACLS/BLS certification.
- Coronary Care Level 1 or equivalent certification.
- Post-graduate courses in Cardiology, Respiratory Systems, and Physical Assessment.
- Sound knowledge of nursing process and responsibilities of the profession.
- Current progressive nursing experience in Adult ICU/CCU.
- Membership in an associated professional interest group, current with industry trends.

Education and Experience:
- Minimum educational requirement of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Working Conditions:
The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre operates 24/7 to provide necessary patient care. Depending on the program for which you are applying, it may be an expectation that you are available to work weekdays and weekends, as well as all shifts - days, evenings, and nights.
