Position Overview

The Junior Station Chef plays a crucial role in the daily operations of their assigned kitchen area. Acting as the primary contact for Commis Chefs, the Junior Station Chef assists the Chef de Partie in overseeing the station's activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, season, and cook dishes according to specific dietary requirements as needed.
  • Adhere to recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Guide and mentor Commis Chefs.
  • Contribute to menu development.
  • Ensure proper execution of station opening and closing protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the station and kitchen by following safety and sanitation practices.
  • Assist with inventory and ordering processes.
Qualifications
  • Culinary diploma with a minimum of two years' experience in a high-volume kitchen setting.
  • Demonstrated skill and experience in both a la carte and bulk cooking.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role within a culinary environment.
  • Current food handler certification.
